Two months after disclosing that he was receiving cancer treatment, Buckingham Palace announced on Friday that Britain’s King Charles III will return to the public eye next week after “a period of treatment and recuperation.”

Health Condition of King Charles

A royal statement states that on Tuesday, the 75-year-old monarch, King Charles, and his spouse, Queen Camilla, would visit a cancer treatment facility “where they will meet medical specialists and patients.”

It is acknowledged that the location is different from the treatment institution that has actively assisted with the King’s medical care.

According to a statement from Buckingham Palace, the King’s physicians were “enough satisfied with the progress that has been made so far as  King Charles  is now able to carry out quite a few of public-facing duties.”

This will be the first of the King’s scheduled multiple engagements in the coming weeks. The British sovereign will receive a state visit from Japanese Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako in June, the palace recently said.

“As the first anniversary of the Coronation approaches,

Their Majesties remain deeply grateful for the many kindnesses and good wishes they have received from around the world throughout the joys and challenges of the past year,” the palace statement concluded.

A representative stated that while it was “too early to say” how long King’s therapy would go, his medical team “remains positive” about his progress.

They also mentioned that future entries in his journal will be modified as needed to reduce any threats to his recovery.

The number of engagements being added to the King’s schedule was not disclosed by the palace, nor was it indicated if he would be able to attend his birthday procession in London or the D-Day 80th anniversary celebrations in Normandy in June.

Future public appearances will be publicized as they approach and after consulting with the King’s medical team.

However, the spokesman for the palace clarified that Charles was not required to execute a summer program in its entirety.

CNN was also informed by the royal source that Charles would be allowed to interact with people both indoors and outside, but that every interaction would be closely monitored to reduce any hazards to the King’s recuperation.

The King has received every day’s red boxes and documentation and has continued to perform his constitutional obligations during his treatment.

This Monday, the King granted royal approval to the divisive plan by UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak to repatriate asylum seekers to Rwanda.

The Protection of Rwanda (Asylum and Immigration) Bill, which was passed earlier this week, received Charles’ seal of approval, as the House of Lords heard the announcement on Thursday.
