Charlie Puth’s Reaction to Taylor Swift, “Tortured Poets” – 2024

After Taylor Swift named-checked him on her most recent album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” Charlie Puth waited a few weeks to address the incident publicly.

However, on Friday, he did so too, if not explicitly mention the shout-out, then at least hint at it, and state that it’s inspiring the release of new music from him.

On May 24, Puth will release the single “Hero,” which is a lead-off to her upcoming album.

Even while he didn’t say who it’s about specifically, he made it obvious that Taylor Swift’s song honoring him was what ultimately convinced him to release it when he had second thoughts.

“I wanted to share something with you, but these last couple weeks have been really crazy for obvious reasons,” Puth texted alongside a video of himself performing a bit of the song.

“This is a song I wrote called ‘Hero,‘ about my friend.”

This sat on my hard drive for a while since I sometimes feel uneasy being too honest in my music.

However, I believe that I was receiving a sign from someone that I needed to let go of it.

Thus, I announce that “Hero,” the lead single from my upcoming album, will be available everywhere on May 24.

I appreciate your help, and you know who you are.
