Walnut Recall, Multistate E Coli Outbreak, Emergency in USA – 2024

The Food and Drug Administration has announced a countrywide investigation of Gibson Farms Organic Light Halves and Pieces shelled walnuts.

This is the result of an E coli O157:H7 outbreak that has resulted in 12 recorded cases, including 7 hospitalizations.

Which States Are Affected by E Coli Outbreak?


The contaminated walnuts were sent out and sold in all of the following states:

the state of Alaska, the state of Arkansas, California, Arizona the state of Colorado, Hawaiian Islands, the state of Idaho, the state of Kansas, the state of Louisiana, the state of Montana, Nebraska, the state of New Mexico, the state Nevada, Oregon, the state of South Dakota, the state of Texas, the state of Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.

The product was available in bulk packaging at local and regional grocery stores.

The FDA has initiated an inquiry to discover the source of the incident, which may lead to additional  Investigations.

Should you have lately purchased shelled walnut halves and pieces from the aforementioned states and affected stores,

please discard them right away or send them back to the store where you originally got them.

Symptoms to Look Out for E coli Outbreak

Severe disease symptoms such as diarrhea, cramping in the stomach, fever, nausea, and vomiting can be brought on by E. Coli O157:H7.4
