Is Cloud Seeding to be Blame for Devastating Dubai Flooding? -2024

While social media might be blaming cloud seeding for the devastating rainfall in Dubai, experts want to oppose this statement.
They say that yes cloud seeding can enhance the rainfall but such heavy rain and storms are only the work of nature.
Dubai being a deserted area, would take rain whenever they could but this event has left them anxious as the rain has caused panic around the region.
Floods have already been linked to cloud seeding both in Dubai and globally.
Even though the technique wasn’t even in use before the storms issue, social media users accused officials working on a cloud seeding pilot program in California of creating storms that battered the state in February.
How is Cloud Seeding Implemented?
In essence, this phenomenon functions by synthetically replicating the natural process of precipitation and snowfall: Microscopic water vapor droplets in typical clouds are drawn to airborne particles such as dust, pollen, or sea salt.
Water droplets form ice crystals and fall when enough of them congregate around these nuclei.
To act as nuclei and start the precipitation process, particles, most often silver iodide, are implanted in and around specific clouds by specially equipped aircraft as well as ground-based producers.
What is the Cause of Dubai Flooding? if, not Cloud Seeding.
Dubai, a country that experiences constant drought, may have suffered greatly from the latest storm since it lacks adequate drainage systems to handle heavy rains.
However, scientists point out that one of the main causes of these extreme weather occurrences is climate change since warmer air can store more water, which in turn causes higher rainfall and flooding in some regions.
According to scientists, human actions that “seed” the atmosphere with greenhouse gases should be of greater concern to people to combat global warming and increasingly severe weather phenomena than cloud seeding.
